Kim and Terry were married on April 4th, 2009 at the Villa Royale Inn, in Palm Springs, CA. To any other person, April 4th may not have a significance, but to Terry and Kim, this day is the most special day of their relationship. It’s the day a working partnership was forged while at a convention in Ontario three years ago. It’s the day that friendship took a turn to romance on their first date two years ago. April 4th marks the love they share like a timestamp. Can you think of a better day for them to choose to be married?! Neither can I!
I ‘met’ Kim and Terry on the phone after a few brief emails back and forth discussing their upcoming wedding plans. When we finally spoke, it felt as if the conversation wasn’t starting but that we had jumped into the middle of a long ago started dialog. Sometimes the connections you have with people can be like that, and I am so glad that they asked me to document their wedding. They invited 60 of their closest friends and family members to attend a weekend long celebration of their union and reserved the entire Villa Royale Inn for their guests to stay.
The celebrations started on a windy, as in, wildfire starting, telephone pole knocking down, bougenvellia and roof destroying Friday movie night. Saturday morning, a brave few accompanied Kim and Terry to greet the sunrise of their wedding day in the desert. Saturday afternoon, as the sun was setting behind Mt. San Jacinto, Kim walked down the aisle. She and Terry and closed the circle of the day by taking taking each other’s hands, exchanging rings and the vows they had written for each other.
Terry asked Kim to marry him by placing a special fortune in a cookie that read: You are About to Answer a Very Important Question. And today, April 4th 2009, Kim and Terry both answered a very important question: Will you take this person to be your husband/wife? They both answered a resounding yes.

Keep connected, keep in touch and say hello!
